Before moviing to Dalman Place, I hadn't given Sylvania much thought to live in. Once moving here, I found that the residents in this particular street were very friendly, inviting and welcoming to their "Dalmaniac" outings. A Christmas street party is a regular event, which displays good old fashioned neighbourliness ! Southgate shopping centre is a short stroll away, with easy to access shopping of all kinds. Great fruit shop and great seafood, along with both Coles and Woolworths and 3 grog shops ! The bus service is very convenient, dropping off at the beginning of Dalman Place. Fitness First is a stroll away, as is Fernwood. Miranda Westfield is either a good 20 minute walk or a 5 minute car trip away. The Crest Hotel is a favourite, with family friendly atmosphere, a piano man and singer on friday and saturday and fantastic meals from Mike's Grill. You would be hard pressed to beat the value and quality of these meals anywhere. You can walk to Flower Power, the Athletics Track and Tennis courts. Dolton House is a short stroll away. I could go on and on. Oh....you can walk your kayak on a trolley to the nearby waterways to enjoy a paddle or a fish !
