Landsborough

"Safe and good for large families"

Landsborough is great for large families, with big blocks and acreage. It's a very safe and fairly quiet neighbourhood, however won't be suitable for anyone looking for retail, eating out or entertainment as it is seriously lacking in these areas. It's close enough to the Woolies at Beerwah to make that convenient for your groceries (there's no real shopping in Landsvorough itself apart from a few small stores), and is only 20 mins from Caloundra and the beaches so it's easy to get to the coast, It's also close to Maleny and the ranges.

Transport is quite limited, apart from the train station in the centre of town, but it's a long commute to the city via train.

I enjoyed my time living here, and would recommend it.

Stafford Heights

"Be prepared for the Bogans"

Especially near the Stafford/Chermiside borders, be prepared for the hoons, shouting and swearing, lots of backyard nightime parties and doof-doof music. Lots of barking dogs at night time. The suburb has pockets of high bogan residency - especially in the older and housing commission areas. For a look at the type of residents you will be sharing the suburb with, I'd recommend spending a couple of hours at Stafford City shopping centre,

Limited eating out or entertainment options in the suburb itself, but as you need to drive everywhere anyway that's not so much of a problem,- just don't expect that anything will be within walking distance.

Advantages are the price of property, and closeness to the city. Public transport is limited to bus only - but the service is OK.
