Probert Street

"Excellent city spot"

Plenty of parks around, and mostly a quiet suburb during the day. At night it gets pretty rowdy and noisy with parties and people walking home from the pub on the corner. But we loved living here. The only recommendation I would make would be to make sure the bedroom isn't the front room of the house facing the street!
Fabulous fenced oval for dog play over main road. Wonderful play equipment park within walking distance. Fabulous dining and entertainment opportunities within walking distance, and more importantly, so close to King St that the public transport is very regular and you wouldn't even need a car if you worked in the city!
Downside? If you do own a car, the streets are very narrow, and lots of cars go down too fast. Plus, the streets are lined with natives that drop a lot of sap. Several mirrors and car sides in our street were scraped. If we owned a half-way decent car at the time I think I would have sold it so I didn't ruin it. Also, on the weekend, you don't want to move your car lest you never find a spot again! We almost had to walk from another suburb one Saturday night when we returned and found no spaces left!

Womra Crescent

"Good central spot"

Living opposite the reserve, we get loads of youths at night. We've only had one vandalism in 2 years here (fence kicked in) but they're pretty rowdy in the park Friday and Saturday nights. We often get the loud cars revving too, which isn't so great with sleeping kids, but it suits you if you want to be walking distance to the shops, skate park and ovals. A big plus is that we live next to 2 of the nicest neighbours, a young couple on one side and a family of 6 on the other.
Other than that, the street traffic is mainly good, but we do get the occasional hoon going down the street dangerously fast.
