Charles Street

"Singles and Couples only need apply."

Ackland street, Chapel st, Albert Park and the beach are all 10 mins max walk away! So everything you need is covered.

With shops, cafes, restaurants, gyms, parks and beaches all so close by it's a great place for 20 somethings to be.

Jump on a tram up St Kilda Road or Chapel/Church St and all the schools are at your door step.

There is however a little issue with parking on this street. During the day while most are at work parking is a breeze... but come 5 pm it's a royal rumble for spots! you can park easily on St Kilda road... but it exposed to heavy traffic.

Grey Street is nearby so there is the occassional crack whore/prositute walking by... so it's probably not the greatest place to let kids roam on their own.

Uni students, professionals and retirees all live on this street and it's perfect for them all.

Bougainville Street

"Quiet, Close to shops Schools and Parks!"

Our family recently moved out of 50 bougainville st; heading up north in search of warmer weather. If it wasn't for the cold winters in Canberra we would stay there quite happily.

Manuka is a 5 mins walk away and has everything a family of all ages could need. Shops, bookstores, night clubs and pubs, even swimming pools. If that's not enough Kingston is another 10 mins away with more dining and retail experiences to be enjoyed aswell as Deakin if you are looking for gyms to workout.

Both Telopea and boys and girls Canberra Grammar Schools are less than 20 mins walk away.

We didn't have broadband installed at our place, I'm almost 100% sure it's obtainable. I'm not to sure of the childcare, local gov or utilites in the area... so they remained unrated from me.

It's a little dry in Canberra at the moment (Jan 2007), but hopefully with water restricitions ease a little the street will be green and lush again.
