Lascelles Street

"A great street for families"

We have lived here for less than a year and we already know half the people in the street. Everyone is really friendly. Our daughter plays with the neighbours' kids and all the neighbours keep an eye out for each other.

It's a very peaceful street with not much traffic, but you do hear a few planes on their way to Tullamarine.

Most of houses are Art Deco weatherboards or Californian Bungalows and most are done up or being renovated so the street looks great.

There are lots of parks and playgrounds nearby. Plenty of childcare centres and kindergartens to choose from too.

Threre's a big redevelopment happening down on Sydney Rd soon which will bring lots of new shops and a cinema, etc. At the moment there's not too much in the way of bars or clubs, but the area has a great cosmopolitan feel with delis and the fresh food market.

Great review, coburgian. Coburg has really taken off last 10 years, who would have thought you could spend over $1 million there on a home!
