Glenwood

"Beautiful peaceful suburb"

We moved into Glenwood 3 years ago and we like it here a lot. The neighbourhood is great for families, it is peaceful and green but at the same time within easy access to Sydney's major employment centers ( Norwest, Macquarie Park, Parramatta, City).
There are lots of parks, lakes, cycle ways and all kind of sport facilities for kids in Glenwood itself and at nearby Bella Vista. Local schools, particularly Caddies Creek school, have a good reputation and the area is serviced by buses from most private schools around Hills area. There are plenty of childcare options available too.
Glenwood streets look well-maintained, leafy and beautiful, houses have nice gardens and backyards . Glenwood doesn't feel as congested and "concrete" as many of the new estates at the fringes of Sydney . The area has access to recycled water which really helped to keep the garden green under water usage restrictions in the past year.
Close proximity to Bella Vista which has some nice restaurants, gyms and entertainment for kids (not to mention work opportunities) is a big plus for us too
Glenwood is very convenient in terms of transport which is important for us as me and my husband work in different ends of Sydney. I travel to North Sydney for work and Bella Vista station is within short walking distance from our home. Sydney metro is very contemporary , trains are available every few minutes and there is also ample parking available straight at the station. It takes less than an hour (door to door ) to reach office for me. My husband is catching a t-way bus to Parramatta from old windsor road. There are also plenty of t-way buses going directly to the city plus M2/M7 makes it easy to access other parts of the city.
