Eliza, it's only a short drive into Melbourne. Depends what you want. It is very anglo but that's changing. It's not great for young adults if you like going to live gigs, or eating out at a different place each week. But it does have it's own culture and there are great places to discover including galleries if you're up for a drive.

Diversity? I stupidly rented a place in Glen Waverley sigh unseen as we came from interstate. Our wonderful diverse landlord hasnt cleaned the place, lied about the heating and we had to push to get the lease broken. Never rented a place this dirty before our bought one that bad to be honest. We were quite in our rights to break the lease. I dont want Asian restaurants, crowded streets, people parked on their lawns (which seriously need a good mow too) and graffiti. I want cafes, class and outdoor dining. Italian food etc etc. Let them have Glen Waverley and we will enjoy Mount Eliza soon enough. Its lovely.
