Still takes an hour to get to the city by train though! Airport also takes a while. Due to all the bush, in the wintertime backburning is quite frequent and the air quality becomes like East Asia. At least it makes some of the residents feel back at home again!

Mannering Park

"Dont tell anyone."

As title says.

Unfortunately we are having to share this Jewel by the lake with other.

Located on the southern most part of Lake Macquarie.
MP is on a peninsula so have no through traffic to worry about.
Tell no one and keep it quiet.

Not great for

  • Getting to many visitors/tourists.

Nursery Street

"Hornsby , smell the fresh air."

Nursery st is one of the narrowest around so no one wants to use it so you have no traffic.
Hornsby is surrounded by national parks , so you get fresh from the north or south
(Blue mountains), your not breathing in your own crap like the middle of Sydney.
Western side of the railway line is very quiet with little traffic and plenty of bird life.
You have plenty of options on rail to Sydney , Northern line, Western line or
western line Via Macquarie line.

Great for

  • No traffic
  • Fresh air

Not great for

  • Can take a while to get used to the quiet if your used to a noisy area.
