Mary Street

"Fantastic friendly place to live for any age!"

This street is amazing, one end is the ocean and the other end is "star swamp" a nature reserve.

You can walk to gold plate cafes/ restaurants and on flora street also walkable has new shops being built with a medical centre (doctor owns it and is 'old school' caring not like the large medical centres! Florist, deli, alterntaive therapies, gym, pilates studio (Perth does not have many suburbs that are family friendly that you can walk to cafes etc) most suburbs where you can walk to places in Perth are inner city not on the beach.

The beach has great foot and cycle paths all along West Coast Highway and just off the cycle path on West Coast Highway is the best little park where the young kids can play safley in an enclosed playground with summer sails put up for sun protection. You are overlooking the ocean whilst the kids are playing and you can sit on the park benches or use barbecue facilities- no anti social behaviour from bogans or teenagers! On Friday night we were watching a dolphin so close to the beach the kids could see it from the payground.

The beach is great with little rock pools for the kids to enjoy plus afe areas for them to swim in that dont have waves. Surfers can enjoy waves on same beach though!

The best chinese shop is at the end of the street with a funky cafe/ restaurant opposite the ocean.

The neighbours we have met are on both sides and a few houses down. Not in your face but friendly and kind and you feel part of a safe community. They offer you clippings from their garden etc.

We have always lived in nice suburbs, that were not too noisey but this is the most quiet and enjoyable place we have lived in and it is a pleasure to live here!
