"An undervalued surburb with great position"

Murdoch has three distinct areas - east of Johanson Prom; south of Gratwick Tce and north of Gratwick. You want to be living north of Gratwick Tce - there is great access to Supa IGA open 8 till 8, buses runing into Garden City and the city; 5 mins to Murdoch train station by bus or 20 min walk; less student rentals which sees houses better maintained. The streets are quiet and safe - lots of cul-de-sacs. There are nice, small asian eateries catering for the students from Murdoch University. It is generally less than $200 to $300k less than Winthrop with the same facilities - age of home built in late 1980s to early 1990s.

The Fiona Stanley Hospital will see prices rise significantly in this area as seen in Bateman recently - 5 mins car to St John of God Murdoch and Fiona Stanley Hospital. Most people dont realise the surburb is in the Applecross school zone and primary school is an open policy to either Kardinya or Winthrop PS. Murdoch is 15 mins to the city (with good traffic) and 15 mins to Fremantle.

Great for

  • Street is quiet and safe
  • 2 min walk to IGA and transport
  • Better part of Murdoch

Who lives here?

  • Families with kids
  • Retirees
