Kennealy Street

"Great street but very few properties come up for sale."

Kennealy Street runs directly off Canterbury road which creates some nuts trying to find short cuts through suburban streets at peak times but other than that, it is quiet and with a mix of renovated, extended and new homes. Established in the 1930's, the street has undergone a serious make over in the past 15 years with quality brick and timber properties throughout. It is no a long street with maybe only 150 properties in the street which runs into Chatham Railway stateion - 22 minutes to the city. Riversdale Road is 600 mtrs North with tram to city. Maling Road Canterbury for local coffee and cafes 600 mtrs to the West.
Best shopping is Camberwell, Balwyn or Box Hill - all within 10 minutes drive and accessible by public transport. Drive to city is 35 minutes peak and 20 off peak.
Great public and private schools in the area. Pre-school and Canterbury Primary 10 minutes walk.
Terrific street for families with large park and play ground 5 minutes walk.
Most residents are long timers with many over 25 years. Properties are rarely on the market.
Tree lined street, narrow when people park both sides.
Overall a great place to live for families.

Great review hillrush. 2 questions you might be able to help me with.

1. Any recommendations for a great local doctor/GP in the area? (Surrey Hills/Camberwell/Canterbury)
2. Why do people rave about Maling Road as a shopping precinct?

Thanks
