Balaka Street

"Hobart's best hidden secret - like being in the bush but with convenient access to the city."

With the coastal reserve bordering the area, the sounds of birds are ever present. An active Coast and Landcare group works with council to preserve native habitat and promote indigenous planting. The bus service is great for the business day but absent on weekends. With all the convenience of the Eastlands precinct closeby and the city only 10 minutes drive away, lucky residents get the best of both worlds. The Rosny barn and schoolhouse provide regular Arts events and school age children have access to schools with good reputations in Montagu Bay Primar, Rose Bay High and Rosby College. Sporting facilities nearby include swimming, basketball, tennis, bowls and sailing. The bike track provides scenic walking and cycling routes connecting to Rose Bay and Bellerive. Rosny is walking distance to all the festival evnts held on the Bellerive waterfront. People who move here tend to stay.
