Federal Street

"quiet street, close to everything"

the great thing about federal st is its location. 100 m from the tram which will take you either to highpoint shopping centre or footscray/train station. from footscray station is only 10- 15mins ride to the city. cycling is pretty good, footscray itself is'nt perfect but there are two major bike paths to the city, you can be in the city within 30mins of easy, relaxing riding. federal st itself is pretty quiet, although you do get some hoons in the vu carpark opposite. neighbors are nice, people are frindly. very multicultural. vic uni (vu) gym is a stones throw away, cheap access and long hours. footscray itself is great for vietnamese and african food. local library is fantastic.

Denbigh Road

"quiet leafy st. good for somethings. ok for others"

quiet leafy st.

parking is pretty good, although you can't park on one side of the street on wednesdays. not sure what is going on there.

I live in one of the small apartment blocks. pretty friendly, real mix of people. young. old. even a dept of housing apartment in the block to mix things up a little.

public transport is fantastic. trams on both ends of the rd. train station 7 mins walk away. A great ride to the city down chapel and then along the river.

7 eleven about 2 blocks away, with a little iga and pub with tab. no restaurants within short walking distance though.

great cafe's and art galleries close, along high st. a supermarket on glenferrie st, a short drive or a long walk. I hav'nt seen many practical things like a hardware store close though.

not too far from chadstone shopping centere. close to chapel st

all the services, although some of the apartments have shared hot water that seems a little expensive. three mobile is a little flakey in this area. cable and broadband everywhere.

renting is a little expensive, but it is the expensive part of town.
