Empress Avenue
"A great street, friendly neighbours and hardly any traffic."
I've lived with my wife in Empress Ave for 18 months now. We love the street and the area of Kingsville. We know most of our neighbours, and everyone has been friendly and caring. The street is quiet, there are a lot of really really nice renovated houses and it's close to Seddon's shops and restaurants, as well as a 10 min walk to Yarraville shops/restaurants. There is also the option of using Seddon train station or Yarraville station.
The street is leafy and most people take care of their gardens. There is a mix of young families as well as older/retired couples. The street looks fantastic on a nice day, and we haven't had any issues with breaks ins (touch wood) nor have we heard of any.
Great for
- Quiet, leafy, close to shops/restaurants
- Friendly people, rear alley way for cars
- Close to Yarraville and Seddon station
Not great for
- Not many houses with off street parking
