Parkinson Street

"Hidden Gem"

A perfect spot close to the ocean and family friendly Narrawallee inlet. Parkinson Street sees very few cars because it is not one of the main roads providing access to other Narrawallee Streets (you don't use this street unless you live here). The street is 50% holiday homes and therefore remains quiet most of the year and yet is bussling with families carrying surfboards, fishing gear and kayaks during the holiday periods.
The bird and animal activity in the Street reminds me of times when I was a little younger when animal life appeared to be more abundant. I am constantly visited by birds who are comfortable enough to eat from your hand. The everpresent rainbow lorakeet, the honeyeaters, kookaburas are a few of the birds that can be seen everyday. Even the Bandicoots visit at night, although rarely seen they definately let you know they have been, by leaving their mark on the garden where they dig for insects.
I have been living in Parkinson for only one year having visited here every weekend for the past 3 years. My wife and I were attracted not only by the beautiful clean beaches, but also the great neighbours that we had in the street who without being asked always took the time to look after our property whilst we were back in Sydney watering our plants and putting out our rubbish ( and watch out any intruders, our neighbours will always confront you!)

Who lives here?
