Banksia Grove

"Love the serenity"

We have lived in the area for 31/2 years and have never had any issues with neighbours, crime or disturbances of any kind. We are in Delamere Park which is part of the Carramar Golf Course Estate so maybe the isses people have mentioned relate more to the other parts of Baksia Grove. My children do not go to the local schools so I cannot comment there, although I hear St Stephens is quite good - if you can afford it. We love the peace and quiet, although we are looking forward to the new town centre - hopefully some more local restaurants, pub, petrol station - who knows? Although Joondalup and wanneroo are only 10 minutes away, it can be a pain - especially for petrol - and the rush hour traffic can be a huge pain - even after widening joondalup drive. All in all I believe that Banksia Grove is a great suburb and is set to get even better.

Great for

  • Looking forward to new town centre
  • Peace and quiet yet close to all you need - joondalup 10 min, beaches10 min, and less than 30 minutes drive to the perth (not rush hour)
  • Lots of brand new homes
  • Parks are really nice

Not great for

  • Some areas do seem to have higher crime/social problems than others

Who lives here?

  • Professionals
  • Singles
  • Families with kids
  • Retirees
  • LGBT+
  • Students
  • Trendy & Stylish

All mine are at high school - we chose Belridge as we were living in Edgewater at the time - didn't move them because i had heard quite a lot of negatives about both Wanneroo and Clarkson - although some people seem to have a negative opinion of Belridge so I guess it's each to their own. It will be interesting to see what happens with the new high school supposedly being buit in the next few years but it will be too late for me.
