Garden Terrace

"Quiet - It's surprising!"

Garden Tce is the most beautifully quiet inner-urban street. Apart from the electric trains pulling up at the station the loudest sound is bird-song, which varying according to season. Kookaburras, Butcher Birds, Koels, Currawongs, Magpies, flocks of Rainbow Lorikeets all add to the proliferation of bird-life residents of the area can experience. In early evening flying foxes head off for their nocturnal feeding areas and later at night, the mysterious Curlews can be heard giving their shrieking cry amidst the peace of this remarkable inner-urban street. In fact It is easy to forget this street's proximity to the CBD.

The more energetic commuter can either walk or cycle to work, along the local pedestrian track network that connects with various parts of the City. The alluring bush track beside Breakfast Creek provides a shady journey each morning and afternoon, making access to the City both pleasurable and energizing.

The less energetic can merely walk to either end of the street to catch a bus or train for the five to ten minute journey into the City.

The street also gives easy access to the network of Free-ways which serve the South-East corner of Queensland connecting it to both the Gold and Sunshine coasts as well as Brisbane's numerous bay islands.
