Urunga Street

"Our 'hood' is alive and well"

a narrow tree-lined street that has a fair share of local traffic divides two nature strips that border houses that range in age and shape from weatherboards, to brick to brick veneer. The demographic is a mix of young and old with young families moving in as the areas becomes gentrified - and more expensive! The community looks after and watches over each other. We are all slowly returning to the 'Good Life' with vegies being exchanged, worm farms and chook sheds being built. There is a strong sense of home with children running freely from house to house and parents indulging over a backyard chat and beer. It is the iconic Australia lifestyle disturbed only by the laughter of kookaburras, the growls of possums and the noise of a Victa on a Sunday morning!

What a brilliant description of your Street, I spend a fair bit of my time in North Balgowlah during my working day and did I notice a community garden?
