This is a friendly street where neighbours look out for one another and people arent afraid to say g'day. Its quite and well maintained down our end as the majority of the houses are owned not rentals. We have had no problems and been here close to a year.
My mother in lw has lived in this area for a couple of decades and never had any problems, I had always heard it was a bad area but am pleased to now correct people when they say 'geez, the bronx' as its not that way at all.
You are within 20minutes of the airport, beach and city so you are very central. We also have access to all the main ateries and great shops are not far away. Our local is Warwick shops and they are clean and staff are helpful. The Balga Plaza is its downfall... and anyone I talk to that has lived here say the same, they steer clear. They really should bulldoze it as its a horrible place.

We have Dan Murphys down the road as well as a great gym (fitness first) which say they are in Warwick, which they are not. But they said the 'clients' prefer to say Warwick instead of Balga... How will the name ever lose its stigma with things like this still going on?

Its a great area but like all areas it has its pockets. On a whole its clean, tidy, friendly and has beautifully maintained parks. Heaps of bus stops and the longest wait for a taxi so far has been 10mins as quite a few drivers live in the area lol, works well for us when we head out :)

Dont listen to the sceptics, its a great area so get in before its too late!!!
