Been living in Berala for two decades. Really love this little cozy and tranquil suburb. Neighbors here are so friendly and well mannered, people here just live their lives without bothering too much others` business. With the recent developments, seeing it gets more of a commercial atmosphere that makes things more convenient: A big woolies with underground parking, along with some Asian groceries scattering around. The famous Chinese Vietnamese noodle house, plus some Thail and Chinese eateries, and of course the hotel that serves cheap and tasty big steaks! ! For the location, used to be the very beginning of the western Sydney part, but now with Sydney`s expanding, together with Lidcombe, here more of a junctional part between inner west & west.....and, it`s quite central to everywhere. Since the trains speeding up, now just within 30mins to the city. And when the southwest Metro is completed, then connecting at Bankstown to the city will be even faster!
