Leopold Crescent

"Family friendly, parks, walking distance to everything"

Long, winding street that passes through Mont Albert to Surrey Hills. While not one of the 'leafy mile' streets, Leopold Cr is a wide boulevard with lots of planting and parking. Mostly character homes, a few villa units. Some older homes are beginning to be knocked down and quite large prestigious homes being built in their place. Walking distance to Mont Albert shopping village or Surrey Hills shopping village. Great coffee, cafes, restaurants, boutiques etc. Expect to pay upwards of $550,000 for a unit and upwards of $950 for a stand alone home. Prices up to $2-3 million in this and surrounding streets.

Great Ryrie Street

"Busy street, but nice"

Big long street acting as a thoughway - quite busy with traffic at school pick up / drop off times. Pocket of very nice houses and pockets of some not so nice house. Too much graffiti, but otherwise good.

Heathmont

"Big blocks, green streets"

Tree lined streets. Very quiet. Great schools. Good public transport links. Big blocks of land. Good entry level market prices for unrenovated older properties. $500+ prices for renovated and extended properties. Local shops are fantastc, and Eastland is only down the road. Parts of Heathmont remind me of Surrey Hills before all the beautiful old homes were buldozed to make way for 4 and 6 unit blocks.

Tagell Road

"Central location in the East"

Great access to a range of public transport. Short walk to Bedford Rd shops, Canterbury Rd shops and Eastland. Fantastic state and private schools in the area. Community vibe. Green, leafy, spacious. Very family oriented.
