O'Connor Street

"Small terreces for DINKBOD (Double Income No Kids But One Dog)"

O'Connor Street is two way street, even although it is a Victorian era street, that is too small to be a 2 way street but it also houses a a lane of parked cars.

Neighbours do talk to each other. But expect to be ignored in the block of units on the West side of O'Connor Street. There is a different feel between East and West side of Abercrombie. There are no Eating out places in this street, but they are nearby, including some nice Thai, and budget Asian food, to pizza's, Kebab's, Italian, Mexican, Indian, etc... mostly found in the near by Broadway Shopping Centre. There are no public entertainment areas, such as pubs, or nightclubs, but you can find a couple of local pubs in the area. Some very old fashion and well kept like The Shannon, but some run down like The Australian in the Corner of Abercrombie and Broadway, currently over run by Punk styled kids, or The Landsdown on City Road, crowded by bands and rock styled kids (And a great place to have a $5 stake dinner!!). Retail Therapy goes with "Style matched by Price" like "Konstantina Mittas" in nearby Backland Street, or furniture like in "Corporate Culture" in the street behind Levey Street. Else you need to walk a bit further to standard Target/Kmart and the rest of shops in the Shopping Centre at Broadway. For Health and Fitness you find that O'Connor Street Houses a Kick boxing Gym, and a Dancing Studio and a Karate Studio. Not bad for a small street.
