Glenwood

"40 minutes to the city by 616x, 617x bus via m2"

I just wanted to add to all the wonderful reviews about Glenwood (we live on the other side of Glenwood which also known as King's Ridge estate and has no shops or anything except the houses, kids play areas, walking paths, pond and T-way bus stop!) that when we go to the city, we take a bus from Norbrick bus stop (near the bridge to Bella Vista over the Old Windsor road) and it takes app. 35-40 minutes to Victoria Building bus stop in the heart of the Sydney City. The bus goes via M2. Cheaper than train and hassle free, the bus frequency is every 10 minutes pick hour and every 20 minutes off pick. There are express busses to Parramatta, Westmead, North Sydney. I also love the fact that it takes us about 5-7 minutes to walk to the Bella Vista Circa shopping center via the bridge, and where you can find a medical center, chemist, dry cleaners, alterations, hair dressers, cafes, food court and Woolworth with liquorland of course.
The houses in the area are big, look really well cared after with beautiful front yards and good size back yards. Neighbors are really friendly. Narrow streets plan doesn't allow speeding and good when you have kids or pets. Very convenient to go anywhere we want whether it is a beach (we go to Dee Why and it takes us about 40 minutes via M2) or the city. The area is still developing and the house pricing going up all the time. As well as that more businesses are moving their offices to Norwest Business Park from the City due to higher rent in the City, which means more people will want to live nearby. Glenwood is one of the nearest suburbs to the business park, only across the road, but the housing prices in average $250,000 - $300,000 less in comparison to virtually identical houses in Bella Vista. We lived in Glenwood for 16 years now and absolutely loving it!

Great for

  • Close to shopping and transport
  • Friendly and clean
  • Plenty of parks

Not great for

  • Some noise if living close to M7

Who lives here?

  • Professionals
  • Families with kids

Hi all We are considering moving to Glenwood. How do u find Tuscan Water Estate (other side of Glenwood) as compared to main side where schools n parks are. Should we look at both sides and whether Crestview side has families with school kids or oldies...I want to know your 1st hand opinion. Pls correct me if I am wrong there is no park for walking in that side. How safe is it...I hv heard no buses come inside the estate except on TWay. So do most people hv 2 cars in home...pls share ur personal findings...thanks heaps
