Rhodes

"Rhodes is improving everyday"

I moved into Rhodes in Oct 2011, and Rhodes is a lot different now than it was 2 years ago. There are new asian supermarkets and restaurants (asian and western) opened recently and i can see there will be more shops opening soon. These definitely makes Rhodes a more liveable city. I always see Rhodes as the centre of Sydney, so if you are young and likely to switch jobs every couple of years, Rhodes is the way to go because it's relatively easy to travel to almost anyway in Sydney than those living in the far east or north.

I feel quite safe walking in Rhodes because most people here are young people who love pets or retirees. The pavement by the waterfront is complete now, so you can walk a lot further than 2 years ago. Parking during the day can be tricky, but if you are a local, then you know where to look.

I live in a secure apartment (Sienna by the Bay) with 128 camera installed, and there is rarely a blind spot that is not within the camera view.

There are a few apartments are still getting built but in a couple of years time, Rhodes should be free from the noises coming from the construction, not that i can hear it but some people may. Rhodes' housing value will continue to rise and this may not be good news to people who want to move into Rhodes. As long as we can keep Rhodes a safe place, it remains a great place to live.

it will not be safe, as more and more apartments are there, the home loving people will move out, and renters will move in and sub-divide the apartments to let to people who can only afford 150 a week, will a person who can only afford 150 a week improve the area ?
