Mundoolun

"A bit too far out."

Was glad to get out, too isolated, the novelty of 20 minutes drive each way for everything wore off. Not close enough for friends to just drop in. Maybe good for loners or retirement, no such thing as going out for a glass of wine as the thought of paying huge taxi fares with no public transport was not an option, the roads really take their toll on the family car as well. Never had so many flat tyres or windscreen replacements.

Great for

  • Scenic and quiet
  • Away from the hustle and bustle
  • Friendly people, lots of wildlife

Not great for

  • One accident recently closed the only main road in/out
  • Overpriced, market boomed 2007
  • Public Transport is poor, but school buses are daily.

Who lives here?

  • Retirees
  • Country Lovers

I agree, listen up, from people who know, treechange sounds good but no harm in renting to see first and dot be threatened by agents or owners that you will miss the boat, far our suburbs flag behind the current marlet trends, everyone knows that

Oh my God, you didn't realise Mundoolun was "isolated" ? So you didn't check before you moved there how far that glass of wine would be, or how much the taxi would cost? As for flat tyres and windscreens ..... you must be a lousy driver .... the roads in Mundoolun are no different to any others in south east Queensland. Oh, and you said it's not close enough for friends to just drop in ... maybe you need new friends who don't mind a little extra travel to see you.

Just moved to Mundoolun Estate from Melbourne. Loving the area; beautiful homes, lots of space and great neighbours. Also close to amenities in Jimboomba. The Sports club is not a bad stop for a glass of wine! Albert Winery is around the corner.. The drive to the cbd and Gold Coast is a breeze, under and hour each way!

Need to mention how close Tamborine Mountain is to Mundoolun; 10 min drive to the foot of the mountain. There is so much to see and do! Great wineries, breweries and places to explore. The Coffee Plantation for brekkie or lunch is so amazing with the best coffee ever!
