Tin Can Bay

"Bay Style- you might call it your ideal lifestyle"

I f your driving up the highway looking for a place to live Tin Can Bay maybe the place for you. There's all types of homes available at prices you may have seen 20 years ago in Noosa.
Tin Can has all the services, doctors, dentist, IGA, Woolworths, bank and ATM's that you've come to expect.
There's employment opportunities in a variety of industries like marine(catching, processing and fixing),forestry(nursey, counting, planting, harvesting, value adding and transporting) and if you don't mind a 35 minute drive(and if your from Sydney,Melbourne or Brisbane that's not long) you could work in Gympie.
The next few years will see enormous change in TCB, some very smart developers are securing their stakes now in residential and marina developments. This is your chance.
There's a very good local school that is growing rapidly because of the numbers of families moving to the area but our future lies in Aged Care.

The bulk of the town is opposed to the Marina development and rental prices for business facility are ridiculously high. The local shopping centre has less than 50% occupancy due to the high rent.

Whilst Tin Can Bay IS a beautiful area it isnt suitable to those who are looking for work as it is few and far between. Consistent employemnt is only found in Gympie

The school is not growing rapidly, whilst funding has been provided for a new undercovered gymnasium and a kindergarden, the child-care faciliteis in the town lack grossly in professionalism and the level of care is very average and difficult to get. Enrollments are currently down and the schools reputation was broadcast on National television during the recent education reviews - it ranked as one of the 5 lowest performing school in the state.

Rent is low but this tends to attract a lot of drifters and few long-term residents. Returns on investment properties are below average and houses are over valued given the lack of facilities and invenstemnt opportunities in the area.

Perfect Pete sounds like he is being paid to write this comment. It sounds too .well...,perfect. If you are from Sydney like me you will hate this place. The people are very small town and small minded.
