Moore St

"Quiet and friendly"

I have lived in Moore Street for over twenty years, it has changed from a street with a majority of retirees and a few families to a healthy mix of retirees, young families, families with grown children and Uni students.

With it's proximity to Sandgate Road, Moore Street is surprisingly quiet.

It is a close walk to the Uni, it takes 20 minutes to walk to the Hunter side of the University if you follow Moore Street through the roadabout walkway. Our Lady of Victories Primary School is a five minute walk.

You can sometimes hear concerts from Bar on the Hill, this is especially good if you enjoy the bands that are playing. The noise isn't too noticeable but sitting outside in Summer listening to music wafting over is enjoyable.

Neighbours in Moore Street are friendly but keep to themselves. There are no dogs that bark at night, the animals in the street are very quiet.

There are no footpaths in Moore Street and there tends to be a lot of cars parked kerbside.

Moore Street is central to most parts of Newcastle. Newcastle is a fairly quick 20minute drive. On the bus it takes 30-35minutes to get to inner Newcastle.
