Livingstone Road

"Where I grew up"

My Grandparents moved to this street in 1956, back then it was the backwoods of Melbourne, unpaved and no Eltham station. It has become a lot busier since then but has retained most of the leafy rural charm being in the heart of the 'green wedge' of Melbourne.

Everything you need is within walking distance- Shops, library, station, schools (high and primary), and there are heaps of bike/walking trails along the nearby diamond creek.

On the downside there are quite a few high density units popping up on the street reducing the 'neighbourly' feel, and it is very hilly. Also the rates etc. have gone through the roof since the '50s as the area is in high demand from developers.

On the whole a splendid and delightful street in beautiful Eltham ;)

P.S. Yes there are a few car hoons in the area so watch out!
