North Road

"High and dry in Brighton"

North Rd is a wide tree lined street with on street parking available its entire length. The road is a couple of kms long and boasts one off the more elevated position with the Brighton suburb. A number of homes pushing the 9.5m heights are gaining views of the bay and/or the glasshouse mountains. Shops including bakeries, convenience stores, news agencies gifts, hairdressers and fashion are positioned at both ends of North Rd, with a number of schools and churches along the middle. The road also has several bus stops with routes direct to the CBD. The bayside end is the pick as it is less than a 5 minute stroll to the main shopping village, 24hr gym, a number of restaurants (Thai, Indian, Italian/pizza, fish and chip, cafe's etc), beach, BBQ shelters, bike riding path, vet, pharmacy, accountant, masseuse and dog park. Traffic is quiet and very light, peaking during school drop off times. Folk on North Rd and the Brighton/Sandgate/Shorncliffe region have a strong community spirit and are proud of there suburb as evident by the cleanliness and lack of graffiti. All three suburbs are dog friendly and the locals are only to eager to give a passing nod or say hello.
