Adams Street

"Adams St - My Street"

Adams St is probably not the best street in Coraki but it a great place to live. We have wonderful neighbours and are central to everything in town. The downside is that it is one of the main streets so has a higher rate of traffic than some of the back streets.
Being a flood prone town, Adams St is up high so while we may get flooded into town once a year, our homes are never threatened and we can move freely within town to shops and other places.

Coraki

"Affordable & Friendly Rural Haven on the River near the Sea"

Coraki is on the southern most tip of the Northern Rivers region. It has not yet boomed like the rest of the region and is therefore affordable and has plenty of opportunity for growth. It is a quiet little village with friendly locals who look out for each other. Great servives for young families but very little in the way of nightlife if you're after that. A few restaurants and a pub is all it can boast so far. The river provides plenty of action for the fisherman or boating enthusiast and is only 30mins by car to the beautiful beaches of Evans Head. Two well regarded primary schools, fantastic preschool and plenty of childcare.
We've lived here for 3yrs and love it. Large blocks are standard so vegie swaps with the neighbours are common place. Coraki is in dire need of a few more cafe's and local trades people so if you want to pursue your own business then this is the place to look.

Thinking to buy a house in coraki. We are couple with no children. Is it safe there

Yep, it's cheap, that's correct. Cheap for a reason. If you wish to move to a region just for it's price you are in for a shock! Coraki for example is full of low life people. people who will mask their true self's just to be your first friend then trade you and make you the enemy just to protect themselves. I bought a home there and have never experienced such demons. Don't trade your life for a cheap home purchase, you only live once.

Only place to swim there is in your own sweat n tears. Cant sleep cause everyone takes their arguments out in the street at 2am. And everyone has big loud barking dogs.

Coraki is supremely beautiful landscape of rivers, green flat land & big Sky. It is a fascinating & mysterious place to live, having so many unanswered questions & happenings about it, historically & recent. Newcomers to Coraki bringing, enterprise, new & fresh ideas would be most welcome by all the good people.
