Boundary Road

"Quiet, near the Park"

This is the actual street I grew up on. You do get occasional traffic coming through from North Wahroonga through to Turramurra but Junction Road is more prefered by those in the know. One of the things I always remember is that even if the whole suburb was blacked out, we were one of the first to come back on and sometimes we didn't lose power at all.

This is a very safe street although whether you knew your neighbours or not depended on if anyone was driving it.

Water Street

"Wow, just wow."

When I was growing up I had a friend who lived in Water Street and I loved to visit her there. Only about a 10-15 minute walk from the station (depending on how motivated you are). All of the properties along here have a lot of land and as the street doesn't really lead to anywhere other than Billyard Avenue, the traffic is minimal.

Wahroonga

"A nice place to grow up"

This is a nice suburb to grow up in, especially away from the trainline but you don't need to go far to be in the midst of quiet leafy avenues. There are only a few heavily trafficed streets, just enough to buzz across. Public transport is however shocking, but if you can afford to live here, you'll likely be at least a two car (maybe even a four car) family.

It is however a really nice area to grow up in.

Stanley St

"Go to Pattisons - it is so worth it"

Just near the intersection of Stanley Street & Mona Vale Road is Pattison's Pattiserie. Their cakes are sooo good!! If you're looking for dinner, I highly recommend their Beef Burgundy pie. Call in on the weekend and dodge the cyclists.

Coonanbarra Road

"Love the cafe near the station here."

The Coonabarra Cafe opposite the park is really good (I admit I'm biased as I know someone who used to work here so I may have received special treatment when being served). The food was great through and being off the main street made it easier as well.

"Good local shopping centre"

The local shops off Gladys Avenue are really good for being so off the beaten track.Check out the Fruit Market!

Lister Street

"Easy access to creek"

When I was growing up we found this the best street to walk down to the creek to poke around or just tadpole. My brother and I never got lost and needed to be rescued (but the fishpond at home did get a few additions)

Cliff Avenue

"Nice and peacefull"

I think the best thing about Cliff Avenue is being able to just walk down to Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. I spent many hours playing in the bush down there when younger.
