Gorgeous, tree lined, historic buildings, station, theatre, cinemas, hotels, cafe's, grand old residences. You can't beat it. I pinch myself often that I get to live on such a beautiful street with so many facilities in walking distance.

People have this perception that Ballarat is so far away, but it's only an hour from Melbourne and you really have little need to go there anyway once you realize how fantastic the facilities are here.

The range of shopping here is phenomenal, when you consider that most everything is in walking distance if you live near town.

The old style architecture is GORGEOUS and there is just so much of it you feel spoiled. What a beautiful city with stunning streetscapes so well preserved I know of no others like them.

Everyone is friendly, tradesmen are cheaper than in the big city too.

With the real estate prices so much more affordable here, and a fast train directly to Melbourne, I'd highly recommend Ballarat to anyone.
