Morrisby Street

"Noisy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Very very noisy, particularly up near the flats in Morrisby Street. Lots of kids from nearby schools wandering around aimlessly looking for trouble. The street is very noisy during footy season, with the park and hall across the road hosting many late night events. Overall, Rosebery is an absolute dive............the rain is constant!!!!!!!!Overpriced goods and services. There is nothing pleasant about this town. You have to go down to Burnie for shopping or anything half decent...We had the misfortune of living in Rosebery for several years until our property finally sold. It was dismal and depressing!

So you moved into the commercial district of a mining town between flats, a school and the community oval and you stayed there two years even with that noise? In fact, you didnt move the entire time, but did move away only cause the house was sold out from under you and you had to move out anyway? Doesnt sound noisy to me and I stayed there and found the opposite .......Roseberry is a stunning town at a bargain price. Only one in Australia situated in the crater of a mountain range and only one in Tassie within a National Park. I found the place to be amazing, tourists loved it and its my retirement dream! (those walk trails nearby and Cradle Mountain scenery and for the cheap price for houses there I was stunned. Im suprised they dont mine gold there cause thats what the place is!)...maybe pay the extra $10pw rent and get a nicer place not on the main strip?

Hi Natalie, what year is your comment written? It's January 2020 & I'm urgently trying to find some locals who can give up to date information on Rosebery, as well as Zeehan and Queenstown... Re crime rates, cost of mechanic, tradies and where are they located, groceries his much pricier than in Burnie, and any nice longer walks in the forest where dogs are allowed? Appreciate any information, thanks!
