Hawthorne

"Community feel, friendly faces, leafy and green, the perfect place to live"

We think Hawthorne has it all. It's close to the river, close to the city, close to amenities of all sorts and has that all too common missing factor in most suburbs: it feels like it's own community. You know your neighbours, people are friendly and wave and say hello, that's something that is hard to find nowadays and we feel privileged to raise our family here.
It's other big positive is it's proximity to the Brisbane river. All streets in Hawthorne are within walking distance to the river and a lot to the Hawthorne Citycat stop.
It's a very green leafy suburb with lots of great parks to walk in or take the kids to play in. It's also easy to get to Wynnum Road (unlike Bulimba which has a lot more traffic congestion) which can take you straight into the city via the Story Bridge, or to the freeway to south or north.
The local schools are some of the best state schools in Brisbane and the private schools are highly coveted as well. Amenities such as shopping and family care are all local and high quality.
Oh, and don't forget about the famous Hawthorne cinema.
So, if you're looking for a safe, leafy and green, family orientated, close to city, close to river suburb-you can't look past Hawthorne.

Stewart Street

"Quiet, leafy street with lovely neighbours and a 5 min walk to Citycat!"

We love living in Stewart Street. We consider it to be the best street of the River Avenues as it's so quiet and peaceful, is small so not used as a thoroughfare or shortcut for cars and the neighbourhood spirit and friendliness is alive and well.
It's like a little hideaway yet close to everything including the river (beautiful!), the Hawthorne Citycat stop, many lovely parks, the famed Hawthorne cinemas, fantastic schools, daily amenities and friendly faces.
It's also an easy drive into the city (unlike further down towards Bulimba) or to neighbouring suburbs via Wynnum Road, Riding Road, Hawthorne Road and Bennetts Road. We can't think of a better place to raise our family and experience the lifestyle we want: quiet, leafy, gorgeous area to live in yet on the doorstep to everything.
