Bamfield Street

"Bamfield Street"

Not sure where the other reviewer in Bamfield St lives, perhaps he is a retiree that never comes out of his house and hasn't noticed the school & the lolly-pop lady and a few hundred kids just up the street? This is an extremely child friendly street - many families with young kids live in our street and all play together and socialise. Seldom are there not kids going up and down on scooters and bikes and going in and out of each other's houses. Perhaps he isn't invited for a wine on a Friday into the neighbours houses. Great area for families serviced very well with childcare, health nurse up the street, and the best little primary school in our street. Close to everything. We seldom use our car as we walk to school, we walk to shops, beach, supermarket, pub, restaurants. It is like permanently being on holidays. The retirees in the street are all very nice and always stop to chat to you and they seem to enjoy watching our little ones growing up. We have a street party once a year at Christmas for the families in the street, and part of the street is blocked off for the kids to play. The only issue I have is inconsiderate rail commuters who sometimes think we are a parking lot. Council don't seem to care - they have put up restricted parking anywhere near the station and have left our street open to commuters. We don't intend to ever move from this house, we have found Utopia.
