Fleet Avenue

"Loved living on Fleet Ave"

Still lots of the older type of houses which are being replaced all over Hillcrest. Friendly, helpful neighbours. Little street noise. A pleasant 5 minute walk to Oakden lake with the dog. Very close to catch a bus. Can walk to Bunnings, Fasta Pasta, Gilles Plains or Windsor Gardens shops. Basketball stadium on your doorstep, which was never a problem re noise or people hanging around. Small linear park at the end of the street with a playground, half court basketball etc. No barking dogs.

Hillcrest

"Close to city, a suburb reinventing itself"

Surprisingly quiet area with easy access to walking tracks and parks, although the nicer ones are in Oakden. Public transport and services very accessible. Some old timber-frame homes left but new housed replacing these all the time, reinventing the suburb. Friendly neighbours, no hoons, little crime. Short drive to Tea Tree Plaza. More affordable than Oakden and Northgate.
