Reviews of Vernal Avenue, Mitcham

"My favourite Street in Mitcham!"

Vermal Ave is absolutely magical and very quiet! It is a wide street with beautiful trees lining its pathways, all still within close proximity to central Mitcham.

I manage a few rental properties in this Street for my landlords and can honestly say tenants love this streets appeal, meaning it achieves some of the highest rent in Mitcham and has people lining up to live here.

At the Mitcham Road end there is a great cafe, shops and bus links. Plus Rangeview Primary is close which from my knowledge is a great school.

While buying in this Street is expensive, it would be delightful living here.

"Leafy Green with Big Blocks"

One of the first streets established in Mitcham, Vernal Avenue is one of the most beautiful in the area. With a canopy of leafy Pin Oaks over hanging most of the street, cobblestone gutters and some houses dating back to early last century, it could be mistaken for a Mont Albert or Surrey Hills street. Blocks are larger than many others in the area and most houses have been renovated and extended in keeping with the character of the old. Although it runs off busy Mitcham Road and is walking distance to shops and public transport, Vernal is mostly a quiet street with only locals using it as an occasional shortcut. A mixture of young families and retired couples share the street and enjoy its proximity to many local parks and quality schools. And Melbourne's new Eastlink connects Mitcham to both the city or the bay in just over 20 minutes, making it a very central, family friendly suburb.
