It is horrible in my area. All day, every day, incredibly loud. Avoid Tech. Park area of Mawson Lakes AT ALL COSTS. It is legitimately unliveable. I am into heavy metal and its wayyyy too loud even for me. Its currently 7 30am on Boxing Day and I cant sleep in because planes are already out passing low over my house every few minutes. None of this is an exaggeration. Cant wait to leave!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The noise is unbearable. Move the training facility out of the metropolitan area. Problem solved. Those international trainee pilots can go outside the metropolitan area to somewhere like mallala.
The noise is constant. Everyday from 7am until 11pm. Only and 8 hour window of silence to sleep. Forget about trying to study, watch movies or TV at a normal volume, talk on the phone, be outside, concentrate on anything, read a book, have a nap, sleep in any day, If you don't fall asleep at exactly 11pm you are stuffed because you will be woken up at 7am by the sound of planes. It is horrible. Mawson Lakes is especially bad because they always take off over Mawson Lakes and fly low and at full power. It sounds like a tractor/v8/lawnmower
I agree Caseyk5. They loop from mawson lakes, down Salisbury highway, hang a right over Edinburgh then they head towards their flight acredition/joyride airport at parafield. Then take off again like the luftwaffer. The private enterprise noise pollution is unbearable. You would think after 50 years I'd get used to it... its worse now. I
It is used most days but is not loud and annoying
The airport is used 7 days a week with 200 -300 take-offs everyday over sixteen hours from 7am to 11pm. To say it is not loud and annoying is beyond belief. The noise pollution is "Ruining Peoples Lives", not even considering the fuel pollution pouring down over our houses everyday. I cannot have any social gatherings due to the noise and living in Salisbury is miserable.
It's absolutely horrible.
There is no peaceful escape.
The Air Pollution - nanoparticles combined with other pollution needs to be monitored now.
Cancer causing noise 🔊 humming 7am to 11 pm
I'm going to make a bid for Member for Ramsay. My sole electoral platform is to relocate Parafield Airport. Will you vote for me in the upcoming state elections?
Parafield is primarily a training airport for light aircraft, with a few vintage planes using it as a base for tours also.
It is used nearly every day, with quite constant activity (take off and landing practice, or touch and go's) but the aircraft are so small that the noise isn't terribly intrusive.
Nope, my ears are fine, thanks for the concern... I'm just not stupid enough to live near an airport and be surprised when there are planes! BTW... Just in case you weren't aware, big planes actually use jet engines, not propellers. A friend used to live in Parafield Gardens, I never found to planes particularly intrusive, even though he was directly under the flight path. I personally wouldn't live there, but each to their own.
Jayden you are a liar - and your comment about the training schools is incorrect - they only had 2 training schools there 10 years ago now there are 5 - you should read the 2018 parafield plan where they tried to get some of the small planes to put in silences- they didn't want to pay for them- the noise levels are above what is acceptable for lawn mowers

Aircraft noise is loud and annoying in several suburbs especially Brahma Lodge and certain parts of Salisbury, also Pooraka and Mawson Lakes.
