Waterside Place, Maribyrnong, VIC 3032

Waterside Place is situated in the Edgewater Estate, right on the water's edge.Very little traffic goes through this road and every morning we wake up to the sound of birds and often watch the most amazing sunrises over the parklands and river. The majority of homes have magnificent views of the river and houses opposite still have glimpses of the water. Land values have gone through the roof...a few homes now heading towards the 2 million mark. If you bought a few years ago then you would be sitting on some very nice blue chip property. One annoyance we have is the fact there is no local primary school. This is due to the fact of poor government planning in the 1990's when they closed down the local Maribyrnong PS. To make matters worse, we are not in the zone for Maribyrnong Seconday College for our street misses out by just metres. Also, the small reserves around Waterside Place are very scruffy and Council very slow to respond to resident complaints. Other than these few annoyances, I couldnt imagine a more beautiful and special place to live without the big price tag you would have to pay in the Eastern suburbs. This street is really a hidden gem.
