Reviews of Wellington Pde, East Melbourne
"Beautiful views by the city's largest parks"
Wellington Parade is a large street going from downtown Melbourne to East Melbourne and runs directly past one of the city's largest parks; Fitzroy Gardens, as well as Treasury Gardens, Wellington Park, and the Cricket Grounds. It's a wide tree-lined street that runs next to the train tracks, but you'd never know it because they laid it out very well - it's not noisy. I've noticed a few swank looking hotels along it as well as some fantastic art-deco apartment buildings, and historic homes and buildings.

Looking for a home in Wellington Pde?
"while walkig around the park I met a doctor"
Then another and another and another. Apparently this place is ringed by a half dozen or so hospitals and medical centers and tons of people on staff take their lunch in the park. If you had to be sick somewhere, this is a nice place to do it. We were driving around looking for the Olympic park when we stumbled on this place. Definitely a gem.

"Quiet but central"
Worthwhile - grand looking street. Trams, IGA, and interesting suburbs (Fitzroy, Collingwood, Richmond, Abbotsford) all five minutes away. The CBD is about a ten minute walk. Quiet. Suits people who want to be one suburb away from all of the action.
