No, renting a flat is cheaper than the Adelaide average. Houses can also be found at a decent rental price, but away from the beach. Groceries/petrol etc are the same as anywhere else. There are some cheap eateries in the western suburbs, too, as the suburbs further inland tend to be lower socio-economic. It's a good place to live.
