Reviews of Womerah Ave, Darlinghurst

"Quiet, leafy, family friendly Avenue with huge terrace houses"

The best street in Darlinghurst, and a great step up from the tiny, squeeze terraces of Paddington. Filled with a great mix of young families, buzzing with a great neighbourhood vibe - especially at Halloween!

"Quiet, friendly residential street for young professionals and families"

We have lived on Womerah Ave for 8 years, and are increasingly happy we made the decision to buy here! It's a very quiet, beautiful, tree-lined street, filled with a great mix of young professionals, young families, and downsizers, yet only a short hop to a huge range of great cafes and restaurants, and within walking distance to the city. A great secret!

"Not Pleasant"

I've been living here for a year and a half, after i moved from Minto, since this was the best street. I felt quite disgusted when i was living here, the neighbours aren't as positive as you would think it would be. At Night, it can get very noisy and it's just unpleasant. Sometimes you see rubbish scattered everywhere and you don't know where they have come from, with tight parking lots, lack of access to your needs.

Not great for

  • Can get noisy at times
  • Leaves drop from the many trees

Hello Monobrow - the leaves drop from the trees? Are you serious? Perhaps this is a bit of a clue why the neighbours might not be brimming with positive vibes around you, The area is booming with a revival and one of the actively sought after real estate in the country. It's close to the most active entertainment areas in the county which is contrasted by a growing number of young families and kids that fills the school on that same street. It's within the inner city area so I am not sure you can expect it to be quiet all the time. I think it would be best if you go back to Minto where the leaves, apparently, have peace and quiet, all the time.

Seriously, this area is gorgeous, and the residents are very friendly. I'm not sure when you lived here, or what your attitude was, but the young families and hip singles love it. We're happy to keep it to ourselves!

"Best street in Darlo or Paddo"

We moved here one year ago into a renovated terrace with parking. We have a child who goes to the Darlinghurst Pubic school across the road which is a fantastic school with great teachers. It is a quiet street which is close to city work and everything we need. The cafes are the best- Bills is less than 20 metres away!

we moved from a big house in paddington and should have done it a long time ago; paddington is now full of investor owned properties who lease them to lager-louts. womerah avenue darlinghust is the paddington of the 1970s: heaven,

"perfect for downsizers"

we downsized from bellevue hill to potts point but the body corportate fees were so huge; we found a house in womerahy avenue cheaper than our potts point flat without body corporate fees and wish we came here first.
