Wooded Way, Montmorency, VIC 3094

I have lived in Wooded Way for the last 5 years and love it here. It is a quiet street with no through traffic and a lovely well-maintained native reserve at the court end and a leisurely stroll to Monty's great shops and cafes. The beauty of the street is only enhanced by the road itself (and most driveways) being brick-paved, all utilities (power, telephone cables etc) are underground and there is no over-development (single homes only, no units or subdivisions). We often receive comments from passer-bys about how nice our street is. Birdlife is abundent including some very tame magpies, daily feeding by many parrots, lorrikeets and currawongs and even a pair of tawny frogmouths which nest in our backyard every season. All the residents are friendly and only too happy to help each other out, and the street has its own little community feel to it. It may be my own bias but I can fully understand why this has been voted Victoria's best street!

Now I know where the pair of tawny frogmouths come from, as they appear in my yard from time to time! The birdlife in this area is one of the highlights of living here, there is always the sound of birds in the air, glad you enjoy the area. Watch out for the Christmas lights in Reichelt Ave, they turn on 1st December! The kids party is in the street outside the houses on 20th December.
