Thinking of moving into Woy Woy with family of 4 (two children)

Am quite paranoid from e-info upon safety, crime and lack of good primary schools in this suburb, any advise regarding these are highly appreciated.

Woy Woy is great for families, so many great beaches and great shopping facilities. The area is safe, with only a few incident of petty crime.

Thanks Julian for the comment... May I ask if you live in Woy Woy. And petty crime - what do you mean by that ... I ask of it as I am a father of two girls and we are recent immigrants.. I can't afford any accidents and want to be rest assured... and so would any one else who is moving to an alien suburb. I am currently living in inner West.

Woy Woy is better than a lot of sydney suburbs: http://crimetool.bocsar.nsw.gov.au/bocsar/

Agree with gregp5, if you search "Woy Woy" on bocsar map, it actually is one of the top suburbs.

Yes if you compare Woy Woy with places like Bankstown, Campbelltown, Rooty Hills, Rouse Hills in Sdyney, you can't complain about it.

What about if you compare it with Maroubra / Coogee / Surry Hills / Northern beaches? How are the schools like? (primary schools more specifically)? Any recommendations on which schools are better than others? What streets / Areas of Umina beach (Woy Woy and Ettalong too) would you recommend to live in? Thank you :)
