Manly is the pick of them and also the most expensive. Manly state School has a very good reputation. Mozzies are across Brisbane although sandflies/midges tend to be nearer to Mangroves which are at the bottom end of Lota. The Bayside has 5 train stations to pick from two Coles and two Woolworths

I live in Manly near the water and I never see mozzies/sandflies. I think the wind keeps them away.

Hi Min, Great question, I think any local in those suburbs would be able to give you excellent reasons for choosing their suburb. Manly, Lota and Wynnum all have a good mix of primary schools both State and Private. If you choose somewhere close to the water and particularly Mangroves then you will find Sandfly heaven! All 3 suburbs have good train connections to the city plus bus routes. Manly & Wynnum have great retail, cafes & the Foreshore with its activities.

Wynnum is great! Relaxed and friendly neighbours.
Manly is a lot renters/absents and not there for the community.
You'll be eaten alive in Lota, unless you're good with midges.

I would say Wynnum :) Lota is too quiet and Manly is too expensive!
