"Quiet, Family Suburb"

Beautiful quiet streets, newer & established areas - you'll see parents, kids, prams, dogs on the lead, walking or playing football in the street after work. Boardering fantastic services and shops at Kings Meadows, a quick link to the Airport and plenty of shops/ services in it's own right. Parks and sports clubs including South Launceston Football Club also located here. Still only 10-15min to CBD. Semi rural and urban views on offer.

Looking for a home in Youngtown?

"Quiet town"

Youngtown is a small town located on the edge of Launceston. You will truly experience a great, clean little country town. Only 5 minutes from Kings Meadows offering everything you may need otherwise, a 10 minute drive into the CBD for shopping, work or leisure offers great opportunity. Youngtown has a real community feel that will be sure to welcome you to your home and after that you won't want to leave!

"Close to the Airport for travelers"

Located close to the Kings Meadows Shopping precinct with everything you need from the major supermarkets to giftware’s, schools, shops and doctors, as well as easy access to Youngtown football oval, close to public transport into the Launceston CBD and a 15 minute drive the Launceston Airport.

As the owner of a Property Management business in Launceston and working in the Real Estate industry for almost 25 years, I am lucky enough to assist people looking to invest or finding homes for people moving to our State. Living in Launceston is simple, safe and it has such a great community spirit.

"Convenient and Family Friendly"

Youngtown is a great spot to live in the north of Tasmania, offering an excellent primary school and high schools close by also. It is a very family friendly area with plenty of shopping facilities and donation shops available such as the City Mission and Salvation Army. Youngtown has plenty of playgrounds, parks and walking routes available. This area is suitable for for anyone, typically families, singles and couples.

"Convenient Suburb"

Yountown is located a short 10 minute drive from Launceston and an even shorter 5 minute drive from the Kings Meadows shopping district. With mainly character homes, youngtown is an affordable suburb for homeowners, investors and renters alike. It is a quiet suburb that is close to everything and could suit singles, couples, families not matter their age or lifestyle.

"Outer Suburb"

Affordable outer suburb of Launceston.Lived hear as a job transfer from Melbourne for 1 year.
A fairly quiet, peaceful place, I enjoyed my time here and found my neighbours very friendly. Most of the housing stock is 50's to 60's style weatherboards with an average price of $250000.Shopping is available in Launceston central which is only a 10 minute drive or Centro Meadow Mews which is a 5 minute drive(nothing is very far away in Launceston) Would I recommend it?Depends. If you like the quiet life and very cold winters you might find it very convivial. If,on the other hand, you like socialising and going out you would probably find it fairly dull.Like I said ,I enjoyed my time here but I probably wouldn't contemplate permanently moving to Tassie

Great for

  • Affordable housing
  • Peaceful
  • Mild year round weather

Not great for

  • No Nightlife
  • No dining out options(in Youngtown)
