Ben Southwell and his team did a great job of selling our house at Leichhardt. The positive impression we got about him through the agent selection process was multiplied during the sale period. "worked relentlessly"

I recently engaged both Mark Bowis & Ben Southwell from Cobden & Hayson to sell my home in Louisa Road, Birchgrove. Being a high-end waterfront property, being sold in challenging market conditions, it was important I engage agents who would be highly proactive yet strategic. Apart from being super professional, Mark and Ben worked relentlessly to achieve a successful sale in a relatively short timeframe. In particular, Mark worked diligently and closely with a number of discerning buyers - intensely negotiating till the late hours of the night on numerous occasions for buyers in different international time zones. Hes particularly masterful at negotiation, extracting every last dollar where possible. Being true local suburb experts, Mark and Ben are skilled at identifying the true value of a property and able to draw buyers attention to all the things theyd not necessarily see for themselves. This skill increases the chance of higher sale prices but not at the detriment of buyers. Its also important to acknowledge that Ben and Mark are super nice people, able to quickly establish a comfortable rapport with buyers to open up the lines of communication. I consider Mark and Ben a powerhouse sales team and one which Id happily recommend to any vendor seeking the highest price for their property and a win / win scenario for all parties involved.

"communication was impeccable"

My journey with Cobden & Hayson began last year when we wanted to rent our property out. I had consulted with many agents who I found very "pushy". Then I met Alina and I knew this was the agency I wanted to go with as she was friendly and I felt an instant rapport with her. We decided to sell a year later. Now some would say that I should have had other agents come to the property, but I knew I trusted your team. Therefore, I asked Alina to recommend your best agent. It was Ben. We were on the cusp of where the Sydney market was slumping, Ben and I spoke everyday as his communication was impeccable. What I loved about Ben is that he pushed for a higher price softly (some agents forget we were once buyers and can be turned off easily by pushy agents). We sold $133 000 over what I was expecting and prior to auction!!!

"He did a superb job"

Ben sold us a newly built house in Annandale. He did a superb job marketing the property. Ben was proactive in showing us the property at odd hours and answering all of our questions- he knew everything about the property. Once we bought it, Ben continued to go beyond the call of duty in helping us get established. Quite impressive when you realise that we were the buyer not his client the seller.

Ben was always very transparent and honest about the market and he even came up with alternative solutions to selling the property.
