Our family of 4 live in Albion and love it here. The neighbourhood is super friendly and welcoming and the cafe, deli and Cinnabuns on Perth Ave are brilliant.
It's a very safe and quiet neighbourhood (barely any traffic at all) and there seem to be an increasing number of young families moving to the area. It is a really wonderful place to raise a family (it's still pretty affordable). I was also surprised at how convenient the location is. 20-25 minutes to the city by train (and Albion has its own train station), and Ballarat Rd and Western Ring Road at our doorstep. Best move we ever made!

Moved here 2 years ago, and I don't see us moving elsewhere.

Excellent neighbours. Quiet and peaceful place. Superb transportation options. It has "family-friendly" written all over it.

If you are after parties and those sorts of activities, this is not the place for you. This is "home", just as it was meant to be - a sanctuary.

Moved here one year ago. Totally in love with the surbub. Very friendly neighbours and quiet neighborhood. Also，the big reserve with lots of sports equipments is beyond my expectation. Short distance to city plus 2 train stations within walking distance. The stores on Perth Avenue could satisfy most of your daily requirements and a new restaurant will open soon！Furthermore，Sunshine market is within walk distance and you could buy everything you want，which is a pretty obvious advantage during this special stage.
The list can go on and on. Anyway，rent here first if you are not so sure about this place. You will feel the charm of Albion

Albion is a hidden gem!! Quiet streets with lovely weatherboard houses. Big improvements to Perth street lately and a fantastic new cafe (Saddie Black) opening up - awesome coffee and food by the way, really worth the check out... it's Brunswick good ;) oh - i almost forgot the train station - walking distance and only 15 mins into the CBD!! Winning

Albion is a square mile patch of post-WWI period-era suburbia in the middle of the western suburbs. Basically part of Sunshine, Albion is comprised mainly of Federation-style weatherboard houses and California bungalows, as well as a mix of houses from the 1950s, also mainly of weatherboard. It is a short bike ride or good walk to the supermarkets & shops in Sunshine town centre. Albion train station – on the Sunbury line – is 23 minutes from Melbourne Central.

It is quiet and very suitable for young families and has two primary schools and a kindergarten. Albion's Selwyn Park, has a sports ground which is used for soccer in the winter and cricket in the summer. Defining the western border of Albion is Kororoit Creek which is very peaceful and is in a fairly natural state, lined with eucalypts.

There is not much anywhere around Albion in terms of nightlife, though there is large new dance and music school, Montanasa Studios. On Perth Avenue there is a cafe and a Polish delicatessen (Mitko Deli) where you can also get a very decent coffee on a Saturday morning.

What can I say? Albion is a gem, an attractive little old suburb in Melbourne‘s west!

Nice and quiet, two train station in walking distance. Three Bus going from City to Sunshine (10/15 mins Walk from Albion) . Bus 903 going to Most major shopping center in Melbourne. Parks around Albion is too small.

Quiet with homes on comfortable blocks of land. Every house if different, so lots of variety on each street. Suburb is well established with a mix of victorian weatherboards, californian bungalows and more modern timber and brick homes. Roads are safe, some with speed bumps. Zone 1 Train station and frequent buses. 2 significant schools on Adelaide Street, plus a kinder. Large park with a creek, plenty of space to throw a ball and walk the dog. We've lived here for over a year and are very happy!

A residential area and small suburb based 13km west of Melbourne’s city centre, Albion is a well known suburb with a population of less than 4000. This location is best suited to families and professionals working in the CBD as a local train station and bus services make the commute easy. There are two primary schools and a kindergarten in Albion as well as a local Aussie Rules football team, a baseball club, a cricket club and a bowls club. Albion is also home to a number of churches and boasts features such as the Kororoit Creek and trail and Stony Creek. Properties in the area include Californian bungalows and weatherboard houses from the ‘40s, the average sale price of which is $325,000.
