"Alphington, its your inner city Canberra coolness next to sister suburbs Ivonhoe & Kew."

The pocket no one knows yet but is starting to trend with its all quiet family friendly neighbourhood. The arty professionals who just grew up out of Brunwick. Greenery parks and veggie patch growers meets your family cyclist with their kids on the weekend. It's your vino records 70's lover, arty nova rich architects, your suburban private school teachers who all seem to wear jiggle arty earnings , your media agency business owners, hipster professionals who wear black rim glasses on the tram.

"NICE & CONVENIENT"

Alphington has been an up & coming suburb for many years now. With new cafes & businesses opening up daily. Easy access into the city, close to public transport, shops, along with great schools. Went to St Anthony's Primary School a very good primary school.

"Blue chip suburb with tonnes of infrastructure upgrades"

Great suburb only 7kms from the CBD.
So much happening in this small tightly held suburb, the Yarrabend rejuvenation is bringing a lot of infrastructure investment, and once the new "tesla mini suburb" is complete, there is no doubt going to be a host of new fantastic retail/cafes opening on Heidelberg Rd.
Still somewhat unknown to the rest of Melbourne. Only downside is the home prices, very expensive, great if you can afford it, but not many can.

"Lovely area within proximity of Melbourne's CBD"

An expensive area within brilliant proximity of Melbourne’s CBD, Alphington makes for an ideal home for families and professionals. Sitting 8km north east of the city, this residential suburb comprises 1970s brick veneer homes, modern townhouses and period weatherboards and has an average property price tag of $785,500. Bounded by the Yarra River and Darebin Creek, Alphington boasts lots of green spaces as well as a golf club, senior and junior football clubs, wetlands, a bicycle path, three local schools and an enterprise centre. A railway station sits within the area and links it with the CBD and neighbouring towns, including Thornbury, Ivanhoe, Kew East, Fairfield and Kew.

"The suburb that nobody knew"

It doesn't seem that long ago when my family moved to Alphington that everyone would ask the question " Where's that ? " A few years later and people are asking "How much ?"
How things have changed from a quiet , average neighbourhood to a sought after trendy one. The prices over the years have skyrocketed and where there was once many new Australian European migrants living there in modest homes, have been replaced by modernised , renovated homes, highly sought after by professional people .
Being so close to Melbourne's CBD only 7 klms and the Yarra River is another bonus for the area . Now that the paper mills have ceased production the sky's the limit for properties in quiet , beautiful little Alphington which was a rough diamond waiting to sparkle.
