Reviews of Ascot, WA

"The Place to be"

This place is beautiful.. Streets upon streets with million dollar estates, fantastic walk ways and parks with water surrounds and you might even be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the dolphins who often come into the marina to feed - The people here are very friendly, falls in line of middle meets upper class. The community here seem very close, with an exercise class and good neighborhood watch program.

Great for

  • Beautiful, vibrant quiet community
  • Close to the city and shopping districts

Not great for

  • Only con is all the road works on eastern hwy.

"Loved living here"

My wife and I used to live in ascot waters before moving away. It was great. we both worked in the city and subiaco. Get into work takes only 30 pleasant bike ride along the river so pleasant and all along good cycle routes and so picturesque. Or public transport took just 30 mins from door to city or subi train station. Buses pass Gt eastern and garratt rroad every 15 mins and garratt road bus goes straight to bayswater and then your on the midland line straightinto the city and subi, perfect. Or you jump inthe car and race straight down gt eatern and graham farmer too easy
another great thing was that taxis are only a couple of mins away becaues you ar so close to the airport.
Great restauarants and take away food allaraound you and belmont and morley shopping centre are mins away plus coles and IGA only 5 min drive in maylands

Love it

cheers

"Prestige area with many new estates"

Ascot is a popular suburb of Perth and is close to the Great eastern Highway. Ascot is well known for its horse racing track and many horse racing meets are held here including the Autumn Cup. This is a very upmarket area and is surrounded by luxury homes and prestige units and townhouses all of which are quite expensive. There are many schools here ranging from pre primary to secondary and you have the choice of state, catholic or private. Apart from horse racing there are many sporting venues including indoor recreatio0n centres, go kart and motor cycling, tennis, golf etc. as well as playing fields for numerous sports with many clubs and associations offering membership and coaching. Ascot boasts some good shopping facilities and being so close to Perth there is no end of nightlife. There are good medical facilities by way of medical centres and hospital all within easy reach. Ascot is a great place for young career minded singles and business executives.
